Hi Angel, lovely to hear from you again. Actually Richard Dawkin's really let Chopra hang himself with a noose made from impenetrable pycho babble.
I hate with a passion so much of New Age thinking and genuinely am with Dawkin's in thinking that it isn't some thing harmless, a mere consumer choice, but something genuinely corrosive and dangerous.
I would be fascinated to know what you made of the God Delusion. I haven't read it yet but am a great fan of his other works which not only explain difficult ideas succintly but also with great elegance and wit too.-

I have put a review of the book on my new blog, http://revk.wordpress.com/2007/08/17/the-god-delusion-richard-dawkins/ I found it very entertaining.
He is a very good with words and presents his opinion well, but that is all it is an opinion, wont surprise you to hear it is different from mine. I am not quite sure why so many in the church are up in arms about it, it contains nothing that hasn't been said before and will be said again. It didn't make me think I was deluded in my faith, or give any new arguements to make me even question, however breifly, that I might be.-

You've got a new blog, Kirstin? Does that mean you're leaving us?

Might pop over there and read the review, actually!

Not leaving as such just being posh and having a holiday home here and the real blog elsewhere for now.
I have had enough of bloguk not working properly since it's 'update' and also the rising number of spam postings I was getting, so I decided to move, to somewhere that works for me and I can filter out spam without having to vet comments. Doesn't mean I am flying never to be seen again, I will still keep my blog on here open and will pop in to see you all and keep up to date, although I probably wont comment as much, and wont be posting on my blog on here any more, all my new posts will be on my new blog.

Dawkins is an interesting guy. Sometimes he picks on soft targets, but generally I enjoy listening to him.
Havent saw this program. At risk of sounding blonde. Who's Deepak Chopra? I've heard of him, but know nothing about him. Not related to the Bollywood lovely Pritti Chopra perchance? hehe-

Well Blighty I do recommend you watch it and would be interested to know your opinion on it.
As for Deepak Chopra I have found a link that you might want to investigate.

you have a thing about chopra because i recomended a book to your wife about him.he is an utterly wonderful human being .and the path to love is a tome.so fucking there...and we can all shoot people like him down in flames.there is always another view....but look at his life.happily married 5 kids and people flock to see him..he talks about real love.not romantic bullshit.but how love truly works in this world...and lets face it.we didnt actually end up sealing the deal did we..now go and think again
